Garlic Knots

I am writing this blog post today especially for my brother-in-law and I'm sure he's thinking "Well, it's about time!" He asked me to put these on here about 3 weeks ago and I'm finally getting around to it now! Sorry for the long delay but here they are!

When Ben's brothers were visiting us I made Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, Salad, and Garlic Knots for dinner. I found it quite amusing how they were peaking into the bowl that I had just placed on the table, with puzzled but curious looks on their faces. They have become a popular appetizer in our home over the past half year and I'm happy that they ended up loving them as much as we do!

Bread has always been a weakness for me - but Garlic bread...Mmm! How can 4 simple ingredients combined create something so amazing!? Warm bread tossed in garlic, olive oil, and parsley. This is where goodness happens people!

This is seriously the easiest appetizer you could ever throw together and your guests are going to LOVE it!  We had ours with pasta, but these little bundles can go with pretty much anything you make for dinner.

If you'd like to give these a try here is everything you'll need to get started:

Ingredients:

Pizza Dough
**(you can either make your own or buy it from the grocery store)**
1 large garlic clove (or 3 small ones)
1/4 cup of olive oil
2 Tbsp of fresh parsley

And that's it! So easy!

1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees, line a baking sheet with parchment paper. (Or just grease your pan.)

2. Place the ball of dough on a floured surface, press down on it with your fingers to flatten it a bit, and cut into 1 inch strips.

3. Form the knots from each strip and and place them on your baking sheet.

4. Bake them for 15-20 minutes or until lightly golden brown, Meanwhile make the oil.

5. In a small food processor, add the garlic, oil, and parsley. Blend until smooth.

6. Immediately out of the oven add the knots to a large bowl and pour the garlic oil over them. Season with a little salt and pepper and toss until they are well coated. And Enjoy!

**I always add a little bit of grated Parmesan cheese on top for extra flavor.**

Thanks for reading!
