The best part of every meal is definitely dessert! OH. MY. GOODNESS! As soon as I took my first bite - I was speechless! There are no words to describe this dessert. It's not only gorgeous...but it tastes even better than it looks! Ben's face was priceless when he had his first forkful - his eyes widened and all I heard out of his mouth was "Mmmmm, WOW!"
This Torte is incredibly rich, but since its made entirely with dark chocolate, its not overly sweet which I like. The combination of the dark chocolate matched with the sweet/tartness of the raspberries is just out of this world good!
I wasn't going to say it but I've actually made this dessert twice this week;) Haha! It's the perfect treat to make when your craving something chocolate that's for sure
Here are the few ingredients you'll need to get started:
1 1/2 cups of Oreo baking crumbs
1 Tbsp of sugar
1/2 cup of melted butter
1 1/2 cups of Dark chocolate chips
1 cup of heavy cream
1/4 tsp of salt
about 4 cups of fresh raspberries
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9'' Torte pan with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.
2. In a large bowl, mix together the Oreo crumbs, melted butter, and sugar.
**Once its combined well, you should have the consistency of wet sand.**
2. Press the mixture in the torte pan making sure you press it very evenly. Place it on a baking sheet and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
3. Bake it at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Let it cool completely.
4. Pour chocolate chips in a bowl and set aside.
5. Place the heavy cream in a small saucepan and bring it to a simmer over medium heat.
6. Pour the heavy cream over the chocolate and let it rest (without stirring it) for about 2 minutes.
7. Stir until the chocolate is all melted and well combined.
8. Next place 1 cup of raspberries in a blender and puree it. Pass it through a fine sieve and get rid of all the seeds.
**You should have a nice smooth raspberry puree when finished.**
9. Pour the raspberry puree into the chocolate mixture and stir.
10. Pour the chocolate mixture into the baked torte shell and chill it in the fridge for about an hour and a half.
11. Arrange the raspberries on top and chill for another hour or so.
You'll want to make this over and over again! I know I'm going to for sure! Hope you enjoy these recipes:) Have a great weekend everyone! More recipes coming soon!
This is a chocolate craving satisfier for sure.
